Simple, sharp, easy to use, and easy to store. This tool is wicked sharp so be careful. It is well-designed. That means it doesn’t have bells and whistles you won’t use and are probably a point of failure. I had three different mandolins at one time or another. I gave them all away after I got this one. It does the job and it’s easy to clean afterward.

This totally lives up to the hype. Besides being stupid easy to store and clean, it lets you dial in how thing you want your veggies. I’ve used mandolins before but often you’re stuck with certain sizes. 3mm, 6mm, etc. This one you can dial in exactly how thin you want your veggies and with the extra blades, exactly what shape/form. It really makes for some unique things I may not have done otherwise when it comes to using certain veggies as garnishes.Overall we’ve had this for 6 months or so and it’s held up to everything we’ve thrown at it. In the picture is red cabbage that without a nice sharp knife, can be a tough one to cut, especially to cut into equal sizes, and this handled it perfectly. I find myself using veggies I shied away from before because of its ease of us.This is 100% an excellent addition to your kitchen, doesn’t take up a ton of space, will make you better when it comes to creativity and what you use in your cook, especially garnishment or anything where you want things get super small, and looks great!Probably it’s best attribute is it’s simple to use. a couple screws, swap out a blade, another screw dials in thickness. it’s about as easy as it gets. Just watch your hands! The blades are sharp!

Simple, as in an uncomplicated design makes it compact, efficient and easy to clean. Older style model is of better materials, steel bolts where needed. Very sharp blades, so smooth and easy slicing action. Recommend getting extra blades before they are no longer available. I’m very pleased. Japanese quality.

I eat a lot of salads and add a variety of things to them. This mandolin has made meals much faster to prepare. I went to a restaurant and ordered a carrot jicama slaw. It came as thick matchsticks. It was delicious. That cost me $8! I made the same thing at home with this mandolin and it cost me the price of 2 carrots and 1/4 jicama; less than $2! Then I made red lentil patties which called for shredded carrots. The mandolin made quick work of shredding the carrots. I sliced celery thin for tuna salad and chunkier for salad. I sliced a yam into super thin slices and fried them for a snack. This mandolin has made a huge difference for me in the kitchen. I highly recommend it but, be careful, it’s incredibly sharp! Scary sharp!

I’ve used this style of mandolin in restaurants for a decade. It is simple with very little fuss. The hand guard is effective and doesn’t waste produce with overly long prongs. You dont need a whole huge contraption for slicing. Simple adjustments. Simple slicing. Very sharp blades. It’s very effective. Respect the Mandolin and you’ll be fine.

It took me a while to understand how to cut thin julienne carrots. The manual has instructions but they are a little confusing. This mandolin did a great job cutting carrots and zucchini 1 mm Julienne thin. The onion was also sliced transparently thin to make the stir fry.It does require some dexterity to handle this mandolin. You do have to be extremely careful when cutting veggies, specifically hard one such as carrots. I suggest wearing protective gloves too.My complain is that it stains. I let it soak in hot soapy water but the carrots stained it.The thin julienne makes the food taste completely different. It’s a nice gasket.

I have tried many different mandolin and they were all so bulky and not so efficient as this one. This is so multi functional and great quality.

Purchase this when it’s below $35 dollars, not that it isn’t worth it but you don’t need to his if you own a knife, definitely a luxury but this is best in the business. The color, the sharpness, the ease of use and cleaning is incredible. Highly recommend.
